How to Walk the Dog

Cast out and let the lure settle. Create a little slack between the lure and rod tip, then twitch the rod tip — the lure will dart forward. Drop the rod tip back to give slack again and the lure will glide sideways. Repeat with a steady rhythm. The lure moves side-to-side rather than forward, keeping it in the strike zone longer. Fish into the current or breeze for best results.
