Finesse Toppu Mizzu Wakebait – Purple Flash (55mm / 4.5g)
The perfect lure for fish that won't fully commit to a topwater. The Toppu Mizzu Wakebait swims on or just below the surface with a semi-rolling, side-to-side wobble that produces intense reaction strikes — ideal for fish holding tight to structure, sitting in the weeds, or running high in the water column. Purple Flash adds a high-contrast, flashy profile that's highly visible on the surface in low-light and overcast conditions.
How to Fish It
Cast out and let the lure sit until the ripples settle. Begin a slow, steady retrieve — this causes the lure to dive slightly, leaving just the back exposed and creating a tantalising wake. For trolling, a slow speed will get it down to around 30cm where the pronounced wobble will draw strikes from fish in the weeds and snags. Patience on the retrieve is key — don't rush it.
Key Features
- Wakebait action — semi-roll and side-to-side wobble that stays in the strike zone longer than a standard topwater
- Internal ball bearing rattle — improved sound, tighter wobble, and better casting distance
- Purple Flash colour — high-contrast flash profile for low-light and overcast surface fishing
- Runs over aquatic vegetation — ideal for fishing over weed beds and snags
- Size 10 trebles — suited to the compact 55mm body
- Cast and retrieve or slow troll to ~30cm depth
