The SeaKnight MANSTER T2 is a 100% fluorocarbon fishing line built with a T2 Double Fluorocarbon Structure — a co-extruded dual-layer construction using Japanese raw fluorocarbon silk. Unlike fluorocarbon-coated monofilament lines (which use a nylon mono core with a fluorocarbon outer coating), the T2 is 100% fluorocarbon through the full cross-section of the line, delivering the complete set of fluorocarbon properties: genuine near-invisibility underwater, true fast sinking rate, zero water absorption, and full fluorocarbon abrasion resistance throughout the line’s life. The dual-layer structure improves on single-extrusion fluorocarbon by optimising the outer layer for smoothness and abrasion resistance while the inner layer is formulated for knot strength and flexibility. Available in 12 line classes from 3lb to 35lb on 100M spools.

100% Fluorocarbon vs Fluorocarbon-Coated Mono

The T2 is 100% fluorocarbon — the full line cross-section is fluorocarbon from core to outer surface. This delivers genuine fast sinking, true near-invisibility, and zero water absorption throughout the life of the line. Fluorocarbon-coated monofilament lines (such as the SeaKnight T1II) use a nylon mono core with a fluorocarbon outer coating — they offer some fluorocarbon benefits at a lower price point but do not match the full performance of a 100% fluorocarbon line, particularly in sinking rate, long-term abrasion resistance, and diameter consistency under load.
