Second Generation — What Changed

The original DANCE launched two years ago and was widely regarded as a leading option in its price class. The primary criticism of the first generation was top-heaviness — balance point too far forward for all-day lure manipulation. The second generation addresses balance point and blank construction while retaining the first generation’s sensitivity and casting performance. The result is a rod that casts as far, feels as much, and is less fatiguing across a full day’s fishing.

T1100 × M40X Carbon Blank

The NEW DANCE blank uses the same core carbon combination as PURELURE’s top-tier rods:

• Toray T1100G — Japan’s Toray T1100G is a new-generation carbon fibre with exceptional tensile strength and resilience. The blank continuously adjusts and optimises its structure through the load range, exerting resilience to reduce unnecessary oscillation while maintaining sensitivity at the balance point.
• Toray M40X — “unicorn hair” — M40X is a rare, high-density carbon cloth with both rigidity and tensile strength simultaneously — a combination that is genuinely difficult to achieve in carbon fibre production, which is why M40X has earned the “unicorn hair” nickname in the industry. The high density improves compression resistance and allows the blank to withstand heavy physical deformation without permanent set.
• T1100 × M40X combination — Carbon cloth is proportioned and oriented according to the stress and force-generating characteristics of each rod section across three scenarios: throwing (casting load), fishing (retrieve and lure manipulation), and bending (fighting load). The result is stronger energy transmission, enhanced operability and lighter overall weight for sustained high-load fishing.

T1100 Reverse Reinforcement Ferrule

Most 2-piece rods use a standard spigot or over-ferrule joint that interrupts blank continuity at the join point — sensitivity and vibration transmission drop at the joint compared to equivalent sections on a 1-piece blank. PURELURE’s proprietary T1100 Reverse Reinforcement Ferrule addresses this directly: the blank is formed as a single continuous piece and then cut at the joint point, with T1100 carbon reinforcement applied at the cut. This preserves as much of the blank’s original vibration pathway as possible across the joint, restoring 1-piece sensitivity in a 2-piece form factor.

48-Axis Carbon Fibre Braided Handle

The handle is constructed from 48-axis braided carbon fibre — lighter than cork handles of equivalent length and stronger than EVA foam. The surface uses a 24K carbon fibre reverse weave that is absorbent and non-slip in wet conditions while remaining more sensitive than traditional grip materials. Under the same rod tip vibration, carbon transmits signal faster and with less damping than cork or EVA, so subtle bites and bottom contact register more clearly at the handle. The 48-axis braid creates a distinctive textured surface that provides grip without requiring compressed cork or EVA thickness, keeping the overall handle diameter finer than equivalent traditional handles.

Fuji SIC Guides and Reel Seats

• Fuji SIC guide inserts — Silicon Carbide inserts in a stainless steel frame; harder and thermally conductive compared to aluminium oxide guides; will not groove under braid on sustained high-load casts; maximises casting distance through low-friction line flow
• Spinning models: Fuji VSS reel seat — the VSS is Fuji’s standard spinning reel seat; compatible with the widest range of spinning reel foot sizes and brands
• Baitcast models: Fuji ECS reel seat — the ECS is Fuji’s low-profile baitcast reel seat; provides a lower mounting position for improved contact with the reel body during the cast
