Meredith Underspin Weighted Swimbait Hook – 6-Pack

Six hooks. One blade. Non-stop flash. The Meredith Underspin is a weighted swimbait hook with a 360° rotating brass spinner blade mounted beneath the weighted belly — combining the natural swimming action of a rigged soft plastic with continuous flash, vibration, and water displacement that pushes the lure's fish-attracting capability well beyond a standard jig head. A spring lock keeper pin locks the nose of your soft plastic firmly in place so it stays straight and centred on every cast and retrieve. Available in six weight variants from 3.45g through to 11.75g, covering finesse bream presentations right through to heavier bass and flathead work. Sold in packs of 6.

  • 360° rotating brass spinner blade — underslung brass willow blade rotates continuously on retrieve, producing constant flash and low-frequency vibration that draws fish to the lure from a greater distance than a standard jig head; triggers reaction strikes from bass, bream, and flathead that ignore unbladed presentations
  • Spring lock keeper pin — stainless spring pin secures the nose of the soft plastic to the hook shank, keeping the bait straight and properly aligned through repeated casts, fish, and weed contact; significantly extends soft plastic life compared to bare shank rigs
  • Weighted belly design — lead belly weight positioned low on the hook shank creates a horizontal bait presentation and a consistent falling posture; the bait swims upright rather than rolling, maximising the tail action and visual appeal on both the fall and the retrieve
  • High carbon steel hook — forged high carbon steel construction for a sharp, strong barbed point that drives home on the strike and holds under sustained pressure from hard-running fish; resists bending and deformation on heavy hooksets
  • 6 weight options – 3.45g to 11.75g — wide weight range covers the full depth and current spectrum: 3.45–5.57g for shallow estuary flats, weed edges, and slow current; 5.92–7.67g for mid-depth structure and moderate current; 9.4–11.75g for deep channels, faster water, and heavy structure
  • 6-pack value — six hooks per pack with enough to run different weights across rods or replace lost hooks without running short mid-session

Size Guide

  • 2/0 – 3.45g: 4.8cm length, 2.3cm width — finesse bream, whiting, and estuary perch on light soft plastics
  • 3/0 – 5.57g: 5.14cm length, 2.54cm width — all-round bream, flathead, and light bass work
  • 3/0 – 5.92g: 5.14cm length, 2.54cm width — versatile mid-weight for estuaries and freshwater
  • 4/0 – 7.67g: 5.73cm length, 2.78cm width — flathead, bass, and trevally in moderate depth
  • 4/0 – 9.4g: 5.73cm length, 2.78cm width — heavier bass and flathead in deeper channels and faster current
  • 4/0 – 11.75g: 5.73cm length, 2.78cm width — deep water and heavy structure presentations for larger target species

Rigging Guide

  • Insert the spring lock pin through the nose of your soft plastic to secure it against the hook shank
  • Position the hook body along the belly of the bait and find the natural hook exit point
  • Push the hook tip through the bait at that exit point so the point sits flush and the bait hangs straight
  • Works best with paddle tail and curly tail soft plastics 60–120mm in length
