The Meredith Stand-Up Blood Slot Jig Head is a purpose-built bottom fishing jig head designed for anglers who work soft plastics along the bottom in estuaries, rivers, and coastal flats. The overturned (stand-up) head geometry positions the hook point facing upward when the lure is resting on the bottom — keeping the hook exposed and ready to drive home on the bite rather than being buried in the substrate. A blood slot groove runs along the shank to hold the nose of the soft plastic firmly in alignment, keeping the bait straight and reducing spin or roll on the drop and retrieve. Moulded from high carbon steel for a strong, sharp barbed point that drives home decisively on the hookset.
