Hunthouse LW536 Pencil Topwater Stickbait – 180° WTD Action | Sea Bass Pike | 60 90 100mm

The Hunthouse LW536 is a floating topwater pencil stickbait built around a nearly 180° walk-the-dog sliding action — the widest zig-zag surface movement achievable in a pencil lure of this size. Where most pencil lures walk 30–60° side to side, the LW536’s buoyancy and weight distribution allow the body to slide dramatically from side to side on each rod tip twitch, covering a much larger surface area per retrieve stroke and producing the erratic, direction-reversing movement of a disoriented or fleeing baitfish. The lure sits high on the water aided by close-to-perfect buoyancy — the body is never partially submerged, keeping the action crisp and responsive to subtle rod tip input. Performs best in calm, clear conditions where the subtlety and range of the surface action can be fully utilised. Three sizes (60mm, 90mm and 100mm) with 15 colour options. $16.95–$18.95.

Key Features

• Near-180° walk-the-dog sliding action — the extreme side-to-side zig-zag action of the LW536 is wider than most pencil lures in this class; each rod tip twitch sends the body sliding sharply to one side before reversing, imitating a baitfish making sudden, desperate direction changes to evade a pursuing predator — one of the most effective visual triggers for aggressive topwater strikes
• High-riding buoyancy — close-to-perfect buoyancy keeps the lure body high on the water surface at rest and during the walk action, preventing partial submersion that would dampen the sliding response and reduce the visual impact of the surface disturbance
• Internal rattle (90mm only) — the 90mm size is fitted with an internal rattle for additional sound attraction alongside the surface action — useful in slightly rippled conditions or when fish are feeding aggressively and responding to both visual and auditory cues
• Best in calm, clear conditions — the LW536’s subtle, high-precision surface action produces its best results in calm, flat water and clear visibility conditions where fish can see and follow the lure over distance before committing to the strike — the surface presentation is particularly effective for pressured or line-shy fish that have seen conventional lures
• Three sizes — 60mm/6.4g for lighter spin gear and smaller baitfish profiles; 90mm/12.4g for general inshore and freshwater; 100mm/18.8g for longer casting distance and larger target species
• 3D eyes — three-dimensional eyes add realism at close range when fish approach before the strike
• 15 colour options — full range of natural baitfish and attractor colours
