FishTrip Pre-Tied Surf Fishing Rigs are complete, ready-to-clip rigs for bait fishing from the surf, rock platform, pier and estuary. Each rig is built by hand with a high carbon steel offset hook, a 28-inch NT nylon leader (40lb) for twist resistance and shock absorption in current and surf, and a barrel swivel for direct clip-on connection to your main line. The turned-up hook eye keeps live bait, cut bait, shrimp and squid tracking straight and naturally in the water column without spinning or twisting.

  • Hand-tied with Snell and Improved Clinch knots — every rig is tied by hand using a 10-wrap Improved Clinch knot and a Snell knot with an 8–12mm tag end for maximum knot integrity at the hook shank under the full load of a heavy hookset and fish run
  • Offset high carbon steel hooks — offset point geometry improves hookset penetration on the strike; breaking strains of 58lb (#4/0), 100lb (#6/0) and 101lb (#8/0) for reliable holding power on large catfish, bass and snapper
  • 28-inch NT nylon leader — 40lb NT nylon resists line twist from current and provides shock absorption in the surge and pull of surf and estuary environments
  • Rated barrel swivels — #3 barrel swivel at 88lb (#4/0 and #6/0 rigs) and #1 swivel at 104lb (#8/0 rig) for secure main-line connection with minimal risk of swivel failure under full drag pressure
  • Turned-up eye hook — turned-up eye presents shrimp, squid, minnow and cut bait in a natural, straight-tracking position that improves strike rates from bottom-feeding and mid-water predators
