The Tsurinoya Sabre 80SP is an 80mm, 10.3g suspending minnow designed for rolling retrieves and sharp, darting twitches. Its spoonbill diving lip and low-centre-of-gravity balance let you work a baitfish profile below the surface, then pause between movements when fishing freshwater banks or estuary edges.

Cast, twitch and pause

The internal moving-weight system shifts towards the tail during casting and forwards during swimming, helping balance both phases. A steady retrieve produces a rolling, wandering action, while short rod snaps create more erratic changes of direction. Internal steel balls provide a knocking sound. Try a twitch-twitch-pause retrieve around bass structure or along flathead-holding edges, keeping the exposed hooks clear of dense weed and timber.
