The SeaKnight U8 Pro is a smooth, soft 8-strand PE braid designed for long-distance casting and lure fishing in freshwater and saltwater. Its dense weave combines a rounded profile with a Si+ surface coating, helping the line travel smoothly through the rod guides. Each spool contains 150m, with Blue and Green colour options and seven sizes from #0.6 to #3.0, rated 15–45lb.
Dense 8-Strand Construction
Eight fibre bundles are tightly braided to create a supple line with a smooth, rounded surface. The U8 Pro is designed for anglers who want easy line handling and consistent casting, whether working small lures in a river or casting larger presentations from a boat, beach or rocky shoreline.
The ultra-dense weave helps limit water absorption and swelling between the bundles. Its soft feel also makes it manageable when tying leader connections and loading line onto a reel.
Si+ Coating and Saltwater Protection
The Si+ coating complements the smooth braid surface to help reduce friction through the guides during a cast. A seawater-resistant coating makes the U8 Pro suitable for coastal and offshore use as well as lakes, rivers, reservoirs and streams.
After saltwater fishing, rinse the reel and exposed line gently with fresh water and allow them to dry before storage. Inspect the working length regularly, especially after contact with rocks, shell or other abrasive structure.
UV Protection and Water-Based Colour
The U8 Pro uses water-based dyeing technology and a UV-protective coating designed to improve colourfastness and help reduce fading from sunlight. Choose Blue or Green to suit your preferred line visibility and fishing conditions.

Choosing Your Setup
The lighter sizes suit lighter lure outfits where a finer line is preferred. Move up through the range for heavier presentations or fishing around more demanding structure, while staying within your rod and reel specifications. Use an appropriate leader when additional abrasion resistance is needed near the lure or hook.
A 150m spool can be used as a working top-shot over suitable backing, or to fill a reel whose capacity matches the selected diameter. Check your reel’s capacity before spooling; a single 150m spool will not fill every reel size.
