The Hunthouse Slow Metal Pencil Jig is a streamlined, fast-sinking metal jig designed for both slow pitch jigging and high-speed casting. The slim pencil profile slices through the water column quickly, reaches depth fast, and produces a tight, darting action on the jerk that triggers aggressive strikes from trevally, kingfish, snapper, and pelagics.

Available in 3 sizes from 59mm/20g for inshore and estuary work up to 85mm/60g for deeper offshore drops. Front feather assist hook and rear treble hook included, ready to fish.

How to Fish It

• Slow Pitch — drop to the bottom, lift the rod slowly and let the jig flutter back down. Strikes typically come on the fall or at the bottom of the lift.
• Speed Jigging — wind fast and hard for trevally and mackerel that want a fleeing baitfish. The pencil profile holds its action at high speed.
• Shore Casting — cast from rocks, jetties, or beaches. Let sink then jig back through the column or wind continuously for surface-feeding species.
• Vertical Drop — drop directly under the boat onto schools marked on the sounder. Effective for snapper and kingfish over structure.

Use 20–40lb fluorocarbon leader with a quality solid ring and split ring to attach. A snap swivel works for speed jigging; go direct for slow pitch.
