The Hunthouse Monster Slayer LW218 is a purpose-built deepwater soft plastic lure system designed for serious boat anglers targeting large, aggressive saltwater predators in deep water and heavy current. At 200mm body length with a 150g lead jig head, this is a heavyweight rig built to cut through deep water quickly, maintain a stable swimming posture at depth, and produce the water displacement and action profile required to draw strikes from large species that ignore smaller presentations. Each set includes one 150g jig head and two PVC soft bodies — so you have a replacement body ready when the first is worked or damaged without needing to re-rig the head. Recommended Applications
Kingfish & Amberjack — vertical jig over deep reef, current lines, and bait schools; allow the lure to reach bottom or the target depth, then work with slow lifts and long drops on a semi-slack line; the glow and paddle action draw fish from distance in deep water
Grouper & Reef Species — drop vertically to the reef and work with a slow lift-drop just above the structure; allow the paddle tail to kick and flutter on the pause between lifts; most grouper strikes occur on the drop
Mulloway & Snapper — slow vertical or diagonal presentation through deep estuary channels, bridge pylons, and offshore reef; allow the lure to sink to depth and work with an irregular lift-flutter cadence during run-out tide
