The jointed body gives the lure a natural flex and tail kick on the retrieve that single-section hard bodies can't replicate — particularly effective when fish are following but not committing, or in clear water where a stiff lure gets refused.

Recommended Techniques

• Slow Roll — steady, medium-slow retrieve lets the jointed body flex naturally. Pause occasionally and let it sink — strikes often come as it falls.
• Walk the Dog — twitch the rod tip rhythmically on a slack line to walk the lure side to side across the surface. Highly effective for surface-feeding trevally, tailor, and salmon.
• Jerk & Pause — dart the lure forward then pause and let it sink on a semi-slack line. The jointed tail flutters on the pause and triggers hesitant fish.
• Shore Casting — cast from beaches, rocks, and jetties. The 28g weight gives good casting distance even in moderate wind.

Target Species

Use 15–25lb fluorocarbon leader. A quality snap or snap swivel keeps the jointed body swinging freely and maximises the lure’s action.
