The Daiwa Legalis LT CS is a mid-range spinning reel from Daiwa’s LT (Light and Tough) platform — the same construction philosophy used across Daiwa’s premium Certate and Exist lines, applied at a more accessible price point. The LT design reduces reel body and rotor weight relative to drag capacity and line capacity, compared to older heavier reel designs of equivalent size. The Legalis LT delivers 12kg of maximum drag from a 6+1 bearing arrangement at a 6.2:1 gear ratio, covering a wide range of freshwater and inshore saltwater spinning applications from ultralight estuary fishing through to heavier surf and offshore work. 17 variants available across sizes 1000 to 6000 with shallow spool (S), compact body (C), high-speed (H) and extra-high-speed (XH) options.
Size and Suffix Guide
1000 / 2000 — ultralight to light freshwater; bream, trout, bass on light line
2500 / 3000 — light to medium inshore; bream, flathead, snapper on 6–10lb line
4000 / 5000 — medium inshore and light surf; tailor, salmon, trevally on 10–20lb line
6000 — heavier surf and light offshore; mulloway, snapper, kingfish on 20lb+ line
