KastKing Kapstan Elite Saltwater Spinning Reel | 3000–8000

The KastKing Kapstan Elite saltwater spinning reel pairs a CNC aluminium frame with a carbon fibre drag system for offshore and coastal fishing. Five sizes, from 3000 to 8000, let you match the reel to your rod and fishing setup.

Sealed construction for saltwater use

The IPX6-rated design uses EverSeal rubber seals and the KastKing Intrusion Shield System, including greased labyrinth-style sealing grooves, to help resist water entry. Treat the reel as water-resistant rather than submersible.

Model-specific drag and rotor

• 3000 and 4000: triple-disc carbon fibre drag, maximum drag 30lb, and carbon fibre rotor.
• 5000 and 6000: four-disc carbon fibre drag, maximum drag 40lb, and CNC aluminium rotor.
• 8000: dual drag arrangement with five front carbon fibre discs and an additional spool carbon disc, maximum drag 55lb, and CNC aluminium rotor.

Key features

• CNC aluminium frame and braid-ready aluminium spool.
• Six double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings.
• Polymer roller bearing and stainless steel one-way anti-reverse bearing.
• Manganese brass main gear and aluminium-bronze alloy pinion gear.
• Interchangeable left- or right-hand retrieve.

Bail operation

The 3000 and 4000 models allow the bail to close by turning the handle, or you can close it by hand. The 5000, 6000 and 8000 models require manual bail closure: turn the bail over by hand after casting before beginning your retrieve.

Choose your reel size from the available options. Rinse gently with fresh water after saltwater use and allow the reel to dry before storage.
