The SeaKnight Falcon II is a 2-piece spinning lure rod built on 30T+40T dual-modulus carbon with ceramic guide rings and a dual-tip system — each rod includes two interchangeable tip sections of different power, allowing the angler to change the rod’s lure weight range on the water by swapping the tip section. Medium-fast action, EVA and cork split handle, premium spigot ferrule. Available in five configurations across 1.98m, 2.1m and 2.4m lengths, covering Ultra Light through Heavy power in tip pairs from 1–8g to 15–60g. Reel sold separately.
Each Falcon II includes two tip sections matched to the same butt section. The two tips are different power ratings — a lighter tip and a heavier tip for each rod. The angler swaps the tip by pulling the current tip out of the spigot ferrule and inserting the other; the change takes seconds and requires no tools. The consequence: the angler can shift the rod’s effective lure weight range on the water without carrying a second rod.

The Falcon II blank uses Toray 30T carbon in the butt section and 40T in the upper section and tip — the same dual-modulus approach used in premium lure rod construction. 30T provides the butt’s structural strength and toughness under the bending loads of the cast and fight; 40T in the upper section and tip increases stiffness and vibration transmission efficiency where the blank’s sensitivity determines bite detection and lure-feel performance. The combination achieves a lightweight, powerful and sensitive blank that neither full-30T (heavier, less sensitive tip) nor full-40T (stronger butt performance not needed in the butt zone) provides alone.
The Falcon II is fitted with ceramic ring guides in stainless steel brackets. Ceramic ring inserts resist grooving from braided PE line passing through the ring at casting speed — the primary failure mode of softer metal guide rings under braid use. The guide bracket type is matched to the tip power: single-bracket guides on UL, L, ML and M tip sections where line tension is lower; double-bracket guides on MH and H tip sections where heavier line classes produce higher tension loads on the guide frame. Double-bracket guides provide more frame stability against lateral flex under load at heavier line classes.
The Falcon II uses a spigot ferrule — a male spigot section that inserts into the female section of the rod’s lower half. The key design detail: the spigot is designed with a small reserved gap at full insertion depth rather than seating completely flush. This means that when the rod is plugged together and unplugged repeatedly, the wear from the insertion and extraction cycle occurs in the reserved gap section rather than at the load-bearing contact zone of the ferrule. The wear zone is physically separated from the structural load-transfer zone, extending the ferrule’s working life. The same spigot connection is used for the interchangeable tip sections.
The Falcon II uses a split handle design: a cork section forward of the reel seat (where the fingers contact the blank above the reel during the retrieve) and an EVA section at the rear grip below the reel seat. The split design reduces handle weight compared to a full-length single-material grip by removing material between the two contact zones where the hand does not actually rest. Cork provides precise feel and vibration transmission at the forward grip; EVA provides a secure, durable rear grip surface.
