The Noeby 9745 Heavy Sinking Pencil Stickbait is a serious offshore sub-surface lure built for targeting yellowtail, mackerel, tuna and large sea bass in open water. The stainless steel thru-wire construction means there is no way for a fish to separate the hooks from the body — even under the crushing bite of a large GT or tuna. At 1 metre per second sink rate, it reaches the feeding depth quickly and delivers a tight S-shaped slide action on the jerk that predators cannot resist.

Retrieve Technique

1. Let the lure sink to the target depth (1 second per metre)
2. Lightly feather the spool with your finger while sinking to control descent
3. On reaching depth, do a big initial jerk to avoid snagging bottom
4. Short jerk for flat slide action
5. Long jerk for tight S-shaped slide action
6. Pause after each jerk — the pause is the primary bite trigger
7. Let it sink again and repeat
