FishTrip Pre-Tied Inline Circle Hook Surf Rigs are ready-to-fish bait rigs built around an inline (non-offset) circle hook design — the hook style that produces corner-of-the-mouth hookups in over 80% of strikes compared to J-hooks, and reduces gut-hooking by over 90% for healthy catch-and-release. Inline circle hooks are also the required hook type in a growing number of Australian recreational fisheries where non-offset hooks are mandated for bait fishing, particularly for species targeted under bag limits in estuary and surf environments. Each rig is hand-tied with 10-wrap Improved Clinch and Snell knots on a 28-inch nylon leader in 40lb, 50lb or 60lb, matched to the hook size. Available in 5-pack or 10-pack in three colour options (Red, Yellow, White) with hook sizes 4/0, 6/0 and 8/0.

Inline vs Offset Circle Hooks

An inline circle hook has the hook point in direct line with the shank — this is the non-offset design that complies with recreational fishing regulations in many jurisdictions that restrict J-hooks and offset circle hooks for certain species and methods.
